Going back to basics with SEO
Many of us get obsessed with SEO and trying to work out what Google’s algorithm is in order to get our sites ranked higher, but often we may be focusing too much attention in the wrong areas. Google, like all businesses want to give their customers the best experience possibly so therefore they try to rank the sites that they will be most relevant and useful to a user’s when a search is made.
If we consider this when designing and adding to our websites we can start to see that many SEO techniques are based all around this method anyway. For example, having content that is relevant and also recent is important to the search engines but also very important to a end user. If the information on the website is out of date then the chances are it will not be useful to the visitor.
Some elements of SEO are fairly straight forward but other areas may require a little help from a programmer. Code to text ratio is something that is often discussed amongst SEO experts. You may need a programmer to look over your website and check that you have enough content on the site compared to the code.
